SSOTD: Vegas Offers Locals to Pay off Parking Tickets With School Supplies

Las Vegas is providing a unique way for locals to pay off their parking tickets. The City of Las Vegas is bringing back their annual program where locals can pay off their parking tickets with school supplies. Any parking tickets issued between May 1 and June 14, 2024, are qualified to be paid off with school supplies. The school supplies that are donated through the program will go to the PEF Teacher Superstore, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit associated with the Public Education Foundation. In order to participate in this program, locals will need to bring brand new and unwrapped school supplies that are equal to or greater than their parking ticket. Locals will be able to bring their supplies to the Parking Services Office at 350 S. City Parkway. It must be 30 days within their citation date, along with providing proof of purchase with a purchase receipt.

Qualifying citations can include:

  • Overtime meter
  • Vehicle parked for more than 72 hours
  • Abandoned vehicle
  • Bus or taxi zone, loading/unloading zone
  • Restricted time zone
  • Parked after park hours
